Jean-Daniel Lorieux

foc_jdlorieux

Insatiable author and catalyst of unexpected images, Jean-Daniel Lorieux is more than just a famous French photographer. He is also a consummate artist, equally revered in the art world for his paintings, especially in Asia. Always fascinated by the cinema, in his youth he rubbed shoulders with Marcel Carné on film sets before setting off for Algeria, where he captured the horrors of war in his uncompromising photographs. He had found his vocation. Fascinated by women with sublime and improbable figures, he glorifies them with an aesthetic sense which is all his own, guided by an explosion of light and color on location. A dedicated follower of fashion and lover of women and fast cars, Jean-Daniel Lorieux exudes a charisma characterized by beauty, elegance, insolence and humor. A contemporary and friend of Helmut Newton and Guy Bourdin, he remains one of the leading lights in the world of fashion photography. Famous for his consecration of the “blue Lorieux”, he attaches extreme importance to representation and nuance. With the arrival of digital photography, he immediately focused his attention on calibration and on Datacolor tools, which he uses every day. Extract from “image magazine”.

Tom Bauer

foc_tbauer

foc_shuettenhain

Hard edges & smooth shapes are the contrasts which Sascha Hüttenhain admires. Sascha photographs his models between cubic elements in his studio or in run-down buildings and other industrial surroundings when he is on location. Sascha Hüttenhain was born in 1973 in the German town of Siegen. He has been living and working there ever since. Photagraphy has been his profession since 1998. For 2 years he was an assistant photographer this is how he gathered most of his experience. Meanwhile Sascha has his own studio and also works as lecturer for photography seminars. Colors and grayscales are two elements which he takes very seriously. That is why Sascha relies on the PrintFIX PRO™ Suite for his work.

The work of Uli Staiger is: Surreal? Unbelievable? Or just totally crazy? Probably a little bit of everything. In his berlin based studio Uli produces all his dynamic photographs that depict an insane world. Uli likes to play with the design of objects that he later on presents in a completely different context in his photographs. His photographs are executed under strict lighting and perspectival prerequisites. His work is truely out of this world.
